NOTES concerning this data: This is some data based on (and expanded) a text file - originally converted from a scanned document with OCR - I received via e-mail from CHODGENS AT aol DOT com. (Charles H, g-son of June Emmitt H. -? ). I recall hearing much this same version told by Joseph Curtis H, my uncle. Indeed, it is so similar, I believe he (J. Curtis) either composed or dictated that document. As far as I can tell, it seems accurate
(although "John B HODGENS of England" was always more of a legend to me,
that I never could seem to document).
Notice in particular, the two sons of
James that "remained in S.C. when the family moved to Alabama", John B.
H and James M. H. Also, my data is sadly limited re: the daughters
(Elizabeth and Mary) that married FANCHERs .
